What you receive

Coordinated business and owner tax compliance.

Includes: Owner and entity return preparation.

Fit, scope, and what you receive

  • Who it is for

Owner households that want one view of the decisions that affect both sides of their financial life. The business return and the personal return, prepared together.

  • What you receive

Entity and owner returns prepared together. A summary of what changed and what is due on each, and the planning items that carry into next year.

  • How it is scoped

Each return is scoped in writing by entity type, activity, and states. We flag additional work before it is performed or billed.

  • Works with

MCR Books. When we keep the books, the return is prepared from a reconciled close, not a year-end reconstruction. Questions are settled during the year, while the answer can still change the outcome.

Starting prices

  • What the starting price assumes

A reconciled year-end trial balance, with every bank, card, and loan account reconciled through December 31, from MCR Books or from your own software. If the books are not reconciled, we will quote a year-end close or cleanup first, as a separate fixed fee, and then quote the return. We do not add a multiplier to a return fee because the books needed work. When we closed your books during the year, your return is priced from $1,250 because the tie-out work is already done.

  • Form 1120-S: S corporation, with Arizona Form 120S

    From $1,500

From $1,250 when we closed the books for the year

    • Form 1120-S: S corporation, with Arizona Form 120S: Included
      • One shareholder K-1
      • Shareholder stock and debt basis schedule (feeds Form 7203)
      • Schedules L, M-1, M-2
      • Officer compensation reconciled to Forms W-2/W-3 and 941
      • Depreciation schedule (Form 4562)

      • A reasonable-compensation check against the books (a check, not the full analysis)
      • Owner estimated-payment coordination
    • Form 1120-S: S corporation, with Arizona Form 120S: Add-ons
      • Additional K-1: $100 each
      • Additional state: $250 each
      • Arizona pass-through entity (PTE) election computation, elective tax, and the owners' Form 355 credit: $250. This is the computation once you have elected; the election analysis ($250) is a separate decision memo, and we recommend it the first year only.
      • First-year return (opening balance sheet, Section 351 contribution schedule, fixed-asset build): +$250
      • Late S election with Rev. Proc. 2013-30 relief (Form 2553): $250
      • Final return and dissolution: quoted

The lower price for MCR Books clients exists because the work is smaller: the tie-out happened during the monthly close.

  • Prior-year entity return (any unfiled year)

  • Form 7004 extension

$100; no charge when the entity's complete records arrived by February 19 and the extension is for our scheduling

Federal Form 7004. Arizona accepts the federal extension.

  • Entity start-up compliance package

    $400

EIN (Form SS-4); S election (Form 2553) or classification election (Form 8832); first-year deadline calendar. Arizona Joint Tax Application (Form JT-1) for the TPT license, withholding, and unemployment registration is priced separately at $250. If the entity joins MCR Books, the chart of accounts is built during Books onboarding. Articles of organization, operating agreements, and Arizona Corporation Commission filings are the attorney's or your work. Arizona-formed LLCs and corporations no longer file beneficial ownership reports.

  • When we prepare both your business return and your household return

    • The K-1 from your entity costs nothing on your household return. We already have it.
    • Your shareholder or partner basis schedule is maintained with the entity return and flows to Form 7203 or your partner basis worksheet without a separate fee.
    • One delivery meeting covers both returns: what the business earned, what you owe personally, and what the two decisions have to do with each other.
    • One estimated-payment plan for 2027 that reflects your W-2 withholding, your pass-through income, and any Arizona PTE payments the entity makes.
    • One engagement letter and one document checklist with two dates: February 19 for the entity, March 12 for the household.
    • The household return is filed after the entity return is accepted, so the K-1 on file matches the K-1 filed.
    • We close with the decisions that affect both sides: compensation, distributions, retirement contributions, and next year's payments.
