MCR Advisory
When a decision has a tax or cash consequence, you get a recommendation in writing with the tradeoffs spelled out before the deadline makes the decision permanent. Advisory builds on your books and returns, so we’re working from the full picture. Because tax planning works considerably better before the transaction.
What you receive
Better decisions before the deadline.
Includes: Tax planning, reporting insight, owner decision support.
Fit, scope, and what you receive
Who it is for
Owners weighing compensation, entity, hiring, purchase, and growth tradeoffs who want one clear recommendation.
What you receive
Tax planning tied to your actual numbers. Owner-level reporting that explains what the statements mean. Decision memos with a recommendation and the tradeoffs stated. For ongoing clients, the annual opportunity review.
How it is scoped
We recommend advisory as a layer on MCR Books or MCR Business Tax, not as a standalone retainer for a new relationship. Tax and accounting come first; advisory builds on clean numbers.
Priced by the question
Tax and accounting advice, priced by the question. You do not need a monthly relationship to get a decision made. A post-season planning session ($450) turns your filed return into a short list of actions with dates. An entity and compensation analysis ($1,250) tells you whether an S corporation makes sense for you, what a defensible salary looks like, and whether the Arizona pass-through election helps. A year-end projection ($750) sets recommended fourth-quarter payments and lists the decisions that must happen before December 31. Each is a fixed fee for a defined question and ends with a written recommendation, an owner, and a due date. If your question turns out to be larger than the engagement, we tell you before we go further and quote the difference. We acknowledge every question within one business day and schedule planning work May through December.
